Winch Wiring
Hey guys,
As some of you have seen i have gotten a Superwinch Tigershark 9500, i am going to be wiring it up this weekend but am a novice at this sort of stuff and kind of confused. First of, the winch is not going to be permanently up front...It is on a 2" receiver mount and i will keep it in the cab unless i need it. For this i have quick disconnects already and that seems pretty straight forward to wire up. The only problem i really have is first; a small metal bar with breakers or fuses came with the winch but there is no instruction on where it mounts? I will attach a picture of it and a mock up diagram of what my guess of how i would wire everything up. Secondly, i would like to wire a kill switch or toggle switch like this ( Battery Master Switch ) to keep the wires dead if the winch is not attached. Am i correct that i just cut the positive in half and wire one side to the inlet post and the other side to the outlet post correct? The negative is not involved in this right? Thank you very much for any light you can shed on this situation!
