“I was Ivan's manager when he worked on the Einstein Platform at Salesforce. Ivan is a highly experienced engineer and a quick study of new technologies. While on my team, he ramped-up quickly on the few areas that weren't already in his wheelhouse. He has a pragmatic approach to development that focuses on quickly getting prototypes to work as soon as possible. In fact, he developed a "lite" version of the einstein platform to enable rapid prototyping of novel machine learning solutions which was used by several clouds (business units) across Salesforce. Another great project involved the creation of developer tools in Apex (a Salesforce DSL) to enable ISVs to build their own machine learning apps. Finally, Ivan designed and implemented a production-grade system for us to serve a complicated multi-stage model that involved Tensorflow, a C++ indexing library, and a ranking system that needed to interface with a Java serving stack. Ivan is a highly skilled and experienced engineer who was a pleasure to work with.”
