Reynaldo Flores

Reynaldo Flores, MD, MPH, has been supporting HP+ and EpiC Projects team since mid-2020 and has been the El Salvador Country Team Lead since the start of 2021. Dr. Flores is a recognized expert with more than 30 years’ experience managing and implementing public health programs, particularly in emergency preparedness, risk reduction, and health projects amongst vulnerable populations around the world. Since the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic he has demonstrated expertise in surveillance, laboratory, case management, and vaccine rollout, including strategic planning and scale-up, as well as individual and institutional capacity building and multisectoral coordination at international, country, and local levels. He brings expertise in converting evidence into guidelines and multisectoral service delivery, including in an emergency response. His experience spans coordinating with international agencies including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Cuenta oficial de la Secretaría Ejecutiva del Consejo de Ministros de Salud de Centroamérica (SICA/COMISCA) and the American Development Bank (ADB) at the headquarter, regional and country level. Dr. Flores is a medical doctor and holds an MPH and postdoctoral certificate and specialization in project design and management for international development with research focused on mental health and addiction. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
