The winner of America’s Next Top Model 2010 is a Texan girl who has succeeded in overcoming her past, when she was laughed at for having such a slight physique. In this shoot by Vincent Peters taken from May’s Beauty IN Vogue, she reveals her beauty secrets and responds to the controversy that has surrounded her victory. “At 13, I was just the same, I’m naturally thin. At school I was the tallest and the other students always laughed at me. Now that I’ve won, I feel self-confident and I don’t worry about people judging me.”
Ann Ward comes clean about the strains and joys of this new phase of her life which will see her on catwalks all over the world and her face and body used in the most prestigious advertising campaigns. She has a really strong personality: in the last few months, she has learnt to think and act like a real model. She’s happy to share her experience with girls who dream of following the same path.
