Vogue France celebrates the talents of tomorrow in its February 2022 edition

Vogue France is shining a light on a new creative wave of designers, actors, musicians, and dancers, embodied on the cover by models Mika Schneider, Lola Nicon and Malika Louback. This issue is dedicated to the true forerunner of this revival, Virgil Abloh, and will be available on newsstands and online on January 25, 2022.

“Who are the creative stars of 2022? For this third edition, Vogue France honors the legends of tomorrow. Rebellious, committed, militant, and multidisciplinary, they cover the fashion, art, beauty, jewelry and culture pages of this new issue, which aims to encourage change. Creativity is the mantra of the stylist Emilie Kareh who, alongside the photographer Charlotte Wales, has marked her very first Vogue cover. She dares to do anything, does not shy away from any taboos and propels the 1990s to the forefront of modernity. To embody this fashion story, we wanted to shine a light on three up-and-coming models who, in my opinion, embody the next generation of supermodels. Malika Louback, the brilliant engineer whom I am fortunate enough to consider as a friend, Mika Schneider, with her already more than impressive career (she is the model who walked the most shows during the last Fashion Week) and Lola Nicon, the fiery-eyed and outspoken fashion whiz. As Vogue France is more than an image, we are also giving them a voice. Models are no longer just a cover, beautiful figures on glossy paper. In France, women are still paid 16.5% less than men. It is our responsibility to make them stronger, to make them heard. Here, they express themselves and deliver their vision of their profession through three interviews, mixed with the pages of the fashion editorial devoted to the new collections. Also included is a gallery of portraits of all of the talents we believe are the future of their industries. This issue, which is dedicated to creatives, is also a tribute to the forerunner of this new guard, Virgil Abloh, famed legend, who passed away on November 28, leaving us devastated. Virgil, this issue is dedicated to you.”
