'Euphoria' star Chloe Cherry reveals she struggled with eating disorder while working in porn

"Euphoria" star Chloe Cherry is opening up about her past struggles with disordered eating while working in pornography.

During her appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast Wednesday, the actress, who starred in over 200 adult films before landing a breakout role in Season 2 of HBO's "Euphoria," revealed she developed an eating disorder after a pornography agent disparaged her body.

"It all started when this agent that I had when I was in porn said to my face that I was fat. He said, 'Everyone says that you're fat and the fastest way to lose weight is by not eating,' " Cherry, 24, told podcast host Alex Cooper, adding that she was 18 when the agent made these comments.

"It just turned into an eating disorder cause I was so young at the time," she said. "No one in my whole life had ever said that I was fat, and then it just became an obsession."

"Euphoria" star Chloe Cherry is opening up about her past struggles with disordered eating from her time working in pornography.

Cherry said she justified her eating disorder under the guise of health, sometimes only having one green juice a day to eat and consuming less than 200 calories a day.

She added that confiding about her struggles to a friend and no longer being vegan helped her change her eating habits.

"It's crazy how much it takes over your brain," she said of her eating disorder. "Something that I had to do was stop all of my food obsession. I had to stop being vegan. Once I stopped being vegan and stopped all of the calorie counting and everything … my body became so much more toned, and I have a way nicer body now."

"I was miserable," Cherry continued. "And just not treating my body well."

Cherry also opened up about how she was cast on "Euphoria," saying that the series' creator Sam Levinson discovered her on Instagram.

On "Euphoria," Cherry plays Faye, a heroin addict.
