Excellent cheap GPU for training my AI model.

One of the best sites to get cheap gpu vps. I used it to host stable diffusion models, used both their trusted datacenter gpus and gpus from 3rd party hosts. the trusted data center gpus are flawless, no charging for data usage, has many open public ports, high uptime. no complaint tbh.


But be careful with 3rd party gpus as they are not too reliable. I once rented 3rd party provider's gpu which costed a whopping $30.00 for 1TB data usage. Be careful about it and check internet costs and other specs carefully before renting 3rd party gpus.

Non verified machines may be bad, offering bad connections and may be unavailable once rebooted, hence the many bad reviews. For this reason, I suggest you to only stick with verified datacenters. I rented an A4000 GPU for many hours and I've never had any problems with internet speed or availability. The price is very convenient at about 0.16$/h. Nothing to complain about, for me it was essential to train some DL models at a small price. Very recommended.

scam website. always throttles your download speed to get more money out of you and never refunds it, many instances break or don't work and you're of course charged and not refunded.

Customer support don't do anything they're useless - complete scam I will never be using this website again.

The computation power is there, and is good, your server wont crash and it will work well, however there's a bit of shortage since a lot of times you cant use your own server because the gpu is being used by another user, and while you wait for it to be avayable you are still getting billed for the storage.

At start, I had a terrible experience where some misleading text would lead to some unexpected payments, but finally the support team realised the mistake and refunded the full amount, so I'm OK with that.

Is vast.ai worth it? If you don't mind waiting for your turn while paying storage and also can get thru the misleading text, servers arent bad...

The best prices and options for consumer GPUs and easy to start and scale up. Some machines don't work for various reasons though so you end up having to test and eval them yourself. Support is active and helpful during US office hours, not as much off hours. Still the best place for cheap GPU compute.

Incredible support people there. Super fast support responses. I had a hiccup with my first GPU instance there but they guided me in the right direction and stayed with me until I had a proper instance running.

My favourite service for Stable Diffusion. Really love this website. Good prices for renting GTX4090. All informations are clear. I'm using vast.ai servers for about 4 months already and I didn't encounter any disconnects yet. All negative comments here seems to be written by people with low IQ who can't read FAQ or are too lazy to read things and then cry. Anyway, website is great. All you need to do is to get a server with good learning rate and low ports amount. Then it should work great.

Horrible experience! There was no confirmation email sent to the main box nor spam (waited and refreshed after 24 hours) so I couldn't use the service even if I credited the account with 10$. So basically useless.

Also, I forgot my password, and after trying to reset my password, the button reset doesn't work on multiple browsers.

Don't use it !!

Despite some raw edges, Vast.ai offer is strong. I managed to escape this crappy Kaggle-to-Colab-and-back tinkering with frequent disconnects and got very powerful and manageable workflow with remote jupyter kernel from vast.ai machine inside local VS Code.

The service is cheap but the on-demand instance randomly disconnected me after a few days. Luckily I could reconnect before anyone else jumped on, otherwise it would be a total loss - all data gone. As expected customer service is nonexistent - "we'll be with you in just a minute" = infinite hold

Watch out when you use this service. they will keep charging when you stop the service. and for me, it was not clear that that was the case so I had to pay even if i didn't use the service.. could not get a refund or anything. really disappoining.. and such a waste...
