Amanda Setton Wants Brook Lynn’s Wedding To Be Special for Fans

Now that GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Brook Lynn and Chase have gotten engaged, the bride-to-be’s portrayer, Amanda Setton, can’t wait to be a part of a splashy soap opera wedding. “I’m so excited!” the actress told Soap Opera Digest. “I can’t wait. Honestly, I truly can’t wait for these two characters to hopefully have that moment of affirming their love in front of their loved ones who mean so much to them.”

The couple’s relationship has been a bit of a roller coaster, and Setton can’t wait for them to finally become Mr. and Mrs. “It’s been four years of building [the relationship], essentially since Brook Lynn broke the bottle over Chase’s head,” she recalled. “It’s been a lot of push and pull and a lot of missed opportunities.”

Setton added that she and co-star Josh Swickard (Chase) both felt that the engagement was “rewarding” for them as actors to see happen for their characters, so they both brought their A-game to the proposal scene. “We wanted to make them grounded and believable and also like a real fantasy,” she revealed. “Which Brook Lynn kept referring to it as. She kept saying, ‘Dreams do come true, fantasies do come true.’ She says that a bunch after they get engaged, which is quite sweet.”

The actress also hopes that the wedding between Chase and Brook Lynn is special for GH viewers who have been loyally shipping ChaLynn, as the couple is affectionately called. “I’m so grateful to them for watching and for their support with this storyline,” she admitted. “I’m so grateful to them for bearing with us all these years and waiting for, hopefully, the payoff that I think is finally here! And I hope they continue to watch and support us and support the show.”
