D R So you want to go vegan 100% for the rest of your life? You know that means: never having a slice of birthday cake at a party, giving up pizza, fried chicken, how about baked potatoes without without sour cream or potatoes without butter? Margarine is worse for you than butter is, and it tastes awful. What a way to live your life. It's like being assigned to life in food prison. Also why don't they do a documentary on all the professional athletes and Olympic gold medal winners who are vegan? That would be interesting, but probably would be a very short documentary. All those celebrities that go on talk shows and talk about going vegan all have professional chefs that can use the ultimate expensive ingredients, and the ultimate cooking techniques. The average working class person that decides to go vegan is going to be eating mainly potatoes, rice, bread, and pasta. And do you think that food processed in a factory that looks like it's a tire factory or something is emitting a low carbon footprint? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Suinda A Honest and thought provoking. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Eve H I am a scientist, and not a vegan. I can't understand how people can think this experiment was not well done. It is inescapable that the conclusion is that eating less meat is better for the body and for the planet. I would say that I would have preferred to hear only about the experiment, but the stories about animal husbandry and efforts to make vegan substitutes for animal products were interesting if a little long. I personally do not like the idea of synthetic foods, which is why I am not a vegan. But THE SCIENCE IS GOOD. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Miss M I loved the focus being on twins. I liked hearing about the comparisons, seemed to be benefits and drawbacks on both diets. I dont think this needs to be some end all be all. There's tons of information out there and this documentary focused on plant based foods. It's great to be able to learn about non traditional diets. I enjoyed this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review DMC M One big ad for veganism. The experiment didn't say much. They controlled what the twins ate so the results as much as they weren't spectacular, outside of how horny everyone was after, they weren't surprising. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Klenton W Started off great. But as the series progressed, it seemed like the science was lacking. It also heavily digressed into sustainability as opposed to health. In the end, it seemed like I had been misled. If anything, in regards to the hidden premise, I felt the hidden message was that humans need to stop reproducing so much.🤣 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
