20 years in this hobby and clownfish, anemones have always been my thing. Way back when I went into a fish store in Houston called Fishranch, they had a clownfish that had come in on accident and it’s name was White Bonnet. I fell in love. Over the years I’ve had a pair from Morgan lidster at Inland and even here in Houston I met a guy who had brought a pair back from the South Pacific riding in a bag on his lap. Hurricane Ike killed my collection in 2008 but now that I’ve returned to the hobby I had to get my fish. Here are my babies in a Gigantae carpet and a huge Sebae I got from David over at Galactic. I’ll be adding pictures as I take them.

Love it. But the other fish selection are very impressive too. How big do you think the Sebae is?
The size was a concern, but after I saw it I had to have it. They don’t move around like Ritteri or a quad so I’m happy with it.

How did you get these clowns?
Man I was on a waiting list I didn’t even remember. Best advice is you have to be ready, can’t say no or you may never get another chance.

Exactly and with Covid it was even more difficult.

Speaking of shipping. We decided to ship UPS which really wasn’t my first choice but they shipped and sure enough they were delayed by a day. (I was flipping out, because even if my guy would stand behind everything it could be months before another pair would be available.) He shipped in 4 gallons of water so they should be ok for even 48 hours. Luckily he also shipped in a plastic storage box. I opened it up and the large bag had popped and they were floating in around a 1/2” of water pooled in the bottom of the bin.

I scooped them out into my own bag and acclimated them quickly. Obviously it worked out but wow what a wild ride.

I've had these before , kind of: ho-hum glorified skunks in my book... if you want to see an awesome clownfish -look up melanopus from vanuatu or new caledonia .. that variety has some stunning colors.
