Gaby's first telenovela in Mexico and "Televisa" is "La Usurpadora". In this telenovela Gaby played the roles of Paulina and Paola, two sisters - twins.

Gabriela Spanic was born on the 10th of December in 1973, Ortiz, state Guarico, Venezuela. Gaby has two sisters - Daniela (her twin sister), Patricia, and also a brother - Antonio. Her grandparents and her father are from Croatia by birth. They moved to Venezuela in 1947. In her childhood Gabriela dreamt to become a ballet-dancer, but later she decided to become an actress.In 1995, when she was making her new soap opera, Gaby met the actor Miguel de Leon. The couple got married on October 22, 1997 in a live televised wedding. Soon after the wedding, they moved to Mexico City, because Gaby sighed the exclusive contract with "Televisa". They decided to stay in Mexico permanently, since Miguel signed the exclusive contract with "Televisa" as well.In 2001, Gaby made her third telenovela on "Televisa", which is called "La intrusa". After the end of the shooting, Gaby is going to do the break and, finally, to born a child.
