Prosecutors have a message for Rebecca De Mornay: driving under the influence is risky business.

They charged the 48-year-old actress Thursday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit of .08 stemming from her arrest two months ago, district attorney’s spokeswoman Shiara Davila said.

De Mornay is scheduled to be arraigned Monday. She faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of both misdemeanor counts.

Calls to her representatives were not immediately returned.

De Mornay was arrested Oct. 30 for a traffic violation in Beverly Hills when officers smelled alcohol on her breath.

De Mornay is best known for playing the prostitute who befriends Tom Cruise’s high school student in the 1983 film “Risky Business.” She also starred in the HBO surf drama “John From Cincinnati” and the films “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle,” “Lords of Dogtown” and “American Venus.”
