“It’s a known effect from practicing it regularly,” she said. “Pilates helps to elongate and lengthen muscles, improves posture and plumps up the cushioning discs of our spine.”

The 30-year-old, who won Miss World in 2003, was encouraged to take up Pilates by her mother Diane who broke her neck in a horse-riding accident.

Davison is the daughter of “Lady in Red” singer Chris de Burgh and was the first Irish woman to win the Miss World title since 1951.

Now a model, she appeared naked in Playboy in 2012.
