Home and Away star Melissa George has welcomed her third baby at the age of 47.

The actress, who is best known for her role as Angel Parrish in the Australian soap, shared her exciting news with her followers. She admitted her "heart is so full" as she welcomed a baby boy earlier this month. Melissa announced her new arrival by sharing a sweet black and white photo of her newborn's feet.

She said: "Welcome to the world my little man. Love knows no end. A mother of 3 sons. Cannot believe it. My heart is so full." The 47-year-old was flooded with messages as one said: "Congrats so happy for you!!!" Another added: "Congratulations amazing news xxxx." Someone else commented: "Mum of three boys here too - it’s the best club in the world!"

Melissa was already mum to sons Raphaël, nine, and Solal, seven, with her ex-partner Jean-David Blanc, a French entrepreneur. She announced her pregnancy in January by sharing her baby bump as she embraced her son. The Aussie star is now based in Paris and hasn't revealed if she is in a relationship.

She was previously married to furniture designer and film director Claudio Dabed from 2000 to 2011. Earlier this month Melissa enjoyed her baby shower arranged by event planner Caroline Touboul as she was snapped showing off her bump. She shared: "My darling [Caroline] thank you for the best baby shower."

Some photos showcased cookies in various shapes that had been covered with blue icing. A personalised one read: "Melissa's baby boy." Fans were also given glimpses of the cake, which featured a bunny seemingly made of icing. Melissa made her acting debut on Home and Away, with her a cast member on the soap opera from 1993 until her departure in 1996. Her character Angel notably had a relationship with the late Shane Parrish (played by Dieter Brummer), with whom she had two kids.

Angel left Summer Bay with her kids following Shane's death. Melissa made her film debut with a supporting role in Dark City (1998). She later had lead roles in projects like the Amityville Horror (2005) and 30 Days of Night (2007). And her other film credits include Mulholland Drive (2001) and more recently Peaceful (2021).

The actor was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her role in the first series of HBO's In Treatment, which aired in 2008. She won a Logie Award for her role in the ABC1 series the Slap, which aired in 2011, and reprised her role in the subsequent US adaptation which was broadcast on NBC in 2015. Her other TV credits include shows like Grey's Anatomy, Friends and the Good Wife.
