Former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby made a rare public appearance with her husband Dan Baldwin as they took their dog for a walk.

Despite doing her best to stave off the drop in temperature, Holly, 43, cut an elegant appearance in a baseball cap, a yellow knitted top under a tartan wool winter coat. She finished her look with a pair of beetle eye sunglasses. And it seems her TV producer husband Dan got the same dress code memo as he too wore a baseball cap, but opted for a cream wool roll neck jumper under a patterned wool coat.

At one point during their walk in the park, they appeared to share a joke as Holly was seen smiling and looking care-free. This comes after it was confirmed that she will be leaving the UK for a sunnier climate in Costa Rica to film her new Netflix show, Bear Hunt, featuring adventurer Bear Grylls. It is believed that Holly will be there for filming from May for two months. Twelve celebrities will be dropped into the middle of the Central American jungle, as Bear chases after them.

Speaking about the programme that is set to rival I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here on ITV, Bear told the audience at the Newcastle leg of his live tour: "I drop 12 celebrities in the middle of the jungle and I get like twenty-odd days to track them down. What can possibly go wrong?"

This will be the second major show, following Dancing On Ice, that Holly has been part of since she quit This Morning back in October last year. Ahead of leaving to film the show, the mum of three attended a farewell party hosted by her friends with guests including, Christine Lampard and Nicole Appleton, at a Mexican restaurant named Ixchel in Chelsea. Pals rented out a private room and were treated to three signature cocktails in her honour. They were Holly's Paloma, Bear's Punch and The Aztec Marg.

The group ate from a 'Full Moon' menu - which was in honour to Holly's lifestyle brand Wylde Moon, which she has reportedly been focusing on since leaving This Morning. After 14 years, Holly said her goodbyes to the public. Kevin Lygo, Managing Director, Media and Entertainment, ITV said in a statement over the news: "We are sad that Holly is leaving This Morning, but respect her decision which we know will have been extremely difficult for her to make."

He added: "Holly is one of the best loved, respected and most accomplished broadcasters in the UK. She has been at the heart of This Morning for the past 14 years, and she is adored by our viewers. Holly has brought her unique brand of warmth, energy, humour and fun to one of the country’s most popular daytime shows, and everyone on the programme will miss her enormously. She remains a much-loved member of the ITV family and we look forward to continuing to work with her in the future."

A previous version of this story stated that Holly Willoughby had hosted a farewell gathering. This has since been updated after it emerged the event was hosted by her friends.
