December 5, 2023 will be a date remembered by all GTA and Rockstar fans. The American company, creator of the Grand Theft Auto saga and Red Dead Redemption among others, suffered a leak at the worst possible time.

The trailer for GTA 6, which was due to be released this afternoon at around 14:30 CET, was leaked at 00:10, causing a monumental uproar on X, and prompting the company to publish its own video ahead of time. And along with it came the game's press release, confirming the platforms on which the game will be available.

Will GTA 6 be on PS4?

Sadly, all indications are that it won't. Rockstar's new game is already being hailed for the graphics and details shown in the trailer. This could mean that the PlayStation 4 might not be ready to run it. The same goes for the Xbox One.

According to Rockstar's official statement, there will be few platforms that will enjoy GTA 6: "Rockstar Games, the brand of Take-Two Interactive Software is proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto VI will be coming to Play Station 5 and Xbox X Series X|S consoles in 2025."

This leaves us with only these two consoles confirmed for the time being. A few weeks ago, a famous leaker let slip that according to his sources GTA 6 would be coming to PC, but it would be a year later than on consoles. With this information, and assuming it is true, PC gamers could enjoy the game in 2026.
