October 16, 2023 Water and Blood “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” (1 John 5:6) John’s writings are replete with examples and illustrations that focus on the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel of John is built around seven great miracles of creation demonstrating the unique power that only the omnipotent Creator God could wield (John 10:25). In his first epistle, John uses the word “know” 28 times to emphasize the behaviors and evidence that assure us that we have a living faith in Jesus Christ and are in truth the sons of God. In today’s text, John lists three “proofs” witnessed in history that verify the incarnation of the God-man Jesus Christ. The water refers to physical birth—the amniotic sac that surrounds and cushions every human child until just before birth. This common experience was used by the Lord Jesus to help Nicodemus understand the necessity of the second (spiritual) birth required to enter the Kingdom of heaven (John 3:5-6). The blood is either a reference to Christ’s death on Calvary “for the remission of sins” (Romans 3:25), or, perhaps, the fulfillment of the many prophecies that this Messiah would be of the lineage of David (Luke 1:32). Either way, this poignant evidence was both visible and verifiable. The “Spirit” witness is obviously the time when the Holy Spirit visibly descended like a dove on the Lord Jesus at His baptism by John the Baptist, and the voice of the heavenly Father said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (John 1:33; Matthew 3:16-17). There is thus a threefold witness to Christ’s incarnation: human physical birth, royal bloodline with the shedding of innocent blood, and heavenly confirmation. “This is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world” (John 4:42). G4C ART no 33, We are the Saviour of Jah Rastafari. JAH RASTAFARI MAKONNEN TOLD YOU THAT WE ARE HIS LORD AND SAVIOUR. (1). In the year 1966, on October 28 at Berlin Germany, Rastafari Makonnen before many witnesses told you that we are his saviour. (2). This confession alone proves that Rastafari is not the saviour (the Christ/Messiah) of the Man from going to the grave. (3). In other words, Jah Rastafari is not the Christ from the Bible. (4). Here is that confession from Rastafari, “a rudderless ship is at the mercy of the waves and the wind, drifts wherever they take it and if there arises a whirlwind it is smashed against the rocks and becomes as if it has never existed. (5). It is our firm belief that a soul without Christ is bound to meet with no better fate. (6). Therefore 0! Christians, let us arise and, with the spiritual zeal and earnestness which characterized the Apostles and early Christians, let us labour to lead our brothers and sisters to Our Saviour Jesus, who only can give life in its fullest sense”. Chapter 1:1-6 Rastafari is the Antichrist.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL READING FRI. 28/07/2023 THE CHRISTOCENTRIC LIFESTYLE IS COMPASSIONATE JUDE 1:20-23 The faith we have received must be built up and exercised daily. We are often interested in the writer's recommendation in verse 20... “Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, [GHT]” as praying in the Spirit will help us build spiritual muscles. In today's passage, the act of compassion is projected as life befitting, a life that has Christ at its center. Such a person keeps himself in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. A Christocentric life is compassionate to a fault. We are to be merciful, hating sin but the sinner. We are encouraged to be reckless soul-winners, “save others by snatching them out of the fire; and to others show mercy mixed with fear...”. POINT OF EMPHASIS: The Christocentric life is compassionate to a fault, an ardent soul-winner who lives to please Jesus always. PRAYER POINT: Lord, I want to live for You daily. Help me to live centered on Christ daily in Jesus' name. Reading The Bible Through in a Year: Morning: Rev. 11:1-6; Evening: Ezek. 34-36.
