#Trust is at the core of business success. But how does one measure it? SRIRAMAN PARTHASARATHY, Partner, Deloitte India, shared his excitement for Deloitte’s trust platform that helps measure the drivers of #Trust, saying, “We developed something called the Trust IQ platform, which effectively measures trust through a very engaged process with stakeholders and then, through an algorithm, computes the trust code and compares it with the benchmark. We have done a benchmark of over 4,000 companies globally to see what the trust index is like, and as we speak, we are doing the same benchmark in India. Let's see if you folks can guess it right. According to a May 2023 #Deloitte Survey Report, 88% of India Inc. believes that xyz will directly impact their businesses. In contrast, less than 27% of respondents believe they are well prepared for this change.   Your guesses for xyz: AI | ESG and Sustainability | Next general elections  While the media cycle might make you believe otherwise, ESG and sustainability is the correct answer. The disparity between acceptance of importance and lackluster preparation is significant. Maybe the Hard-Easy Effect from clinical psychology can be used to explain this further. The theory is simple - we overestimate the difficulty of the hard tasks and underestimate the difficulty of the easy tasks. For example, you may think the driving test is 'easier' than the written driving exam. But this is not just restricted to individuals.  The theory has wide-ranging systemic applications as well. Setting up a multi-million dollar enterprise, manufacturing products, research and development, managing talent, and growing a business is challenging. All #entrepreneurs know this. Understanding ESG, setting up processes to be sustainable, responsible, transparent, and contributing to the community and its people can and should be comparatively more straightforward.     ESG needs to be demystified. Accessible, scalable, and customizable #technology platforms that address the lack of ESG subject matter expertise will go a long way in bridging the gap between 'wanting' the right approach to ESG and 'knowing' how to achieve it.
