Today, the House Oversight Committee took the unfortunate next step of advancing the BIOSECURE Act. Complete Genomics is disappointed by this lack of foresight. As a company that does not access or share patient data, we do not belong in this bill. We will continue to serve our customers and are encouraged that there is still time for Congress to amend the bill to avoid harmful consequences to the genomic sequencing industry. https://lnkd.in/e-QnK4RS

A bill currently pending in Congress, the BIOSECURE Act, claims to protect Americans’ genetic data. But not only do some of the Hill arguments lack validation or evidence, they are also false and pose grave consequences.  https://lnkd.in/eS9St6nZ
