Kate Hudson Shared a Rare Photo of Her Family to Celebrate Turning 45

Well wishes are in order for Kate Hudson, who is officially another year older and wiser. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress celebrated her 45th birthday on April 19, and shared an inside look at what her birthday festivities were like over the weekend.

The movie star posted a series of photos through a carousel on Instagram. Hudson started off her day in bed with a picture of her with her children Rani and Bingham (whom she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa and ex Matt Bellamy), still with her eye mask on and bundled up underneath the covers. Her day then continued with fresh flowers from Fujikawa, breakfast, gifts from her children, and, of course, a cake large enough to feed the family accompanied by a "Happy Birthday" sing-along.

The festivities continued into the evening and saw Hudson surrounded by several friends and family members at a restaurant. She got dolled up in a black bra top and rhinestone-encrusted chandelier earrings — at one point topping off the look with a straw hat for fun — and danced the night away with a few singalongs with her best pals.

"A perfect day from start to finish ... Thank you for all the wishes yesterday for my birthday! I got all the fuzzy feels," she captioned the series of images.

45 is preparing to be a new season for Hudson — she's gearing up to release her first-ever album, Glorious, on May 17. "This is realer to me than anything I’ve done in my entire life," she said in an official press release for the project. "It was always this: I just needed to get to a place where I was ready… and the songs got to the core of who I am.”
