Vand Chhako means to share fruits of one's labour with others. In Sikh religion, the three golden rules which govern the life of a Sikh are: kirat karo, vand chhako and nam japo. The three are interconnected. Here emphasis is on the Sikh teaching of 'selfless services' to others. One who will think of doing something favourable to others, one of the first steps is to share with others their earnings. This is different from giving a daswand or almsgiving. vand Chhako stress on equality. This principle makes the concept of charity positive. .
