Anton's African Cuisine - Expansion Costs

As many of you have heard, it is with great sadness that Anton's has been forced to close due to the current circumstances with the City of Roanoke and their new expanded lease space. 

My family and I have visited Anton's dozens of times and have fallen in love with their restaurant and their family. I have no relation to Anton or his family, but felt the need, like many others have, to help in any way that I can! I was born and raised in South Africa (maiden name was "van Beljon" ) and visiting Anton's brings back so many priceless memories with good food, family and friends.  Their food is made from scratch and includes many traditional and unique recipes such as vetkoek, pap and sous, boerewors and several confectionary items.

Many of you have reached out with your thoughts, prayers and eagerness to help! Anton's would have celebrated their 2nd Anniversary in August and have worked endless hours to get where they are today. They sacrificed 2 years of 18 hour days with 3 little ones by their side. Covid also hit hard these past 12 month with limited capacity restrictions but they powered through and kept showing up. They have given our community a fresh and unique experience while providing many of us with a taste of "home" again. They also provided free drinks to the fire and police departments as well as many food items during the Texas "snowmageddon" at the local warming stations as well as local residents who needed an extra hand. They have gone above and beyond for our community!

NOW is the time for us to help them! They are in the beginning stages of moving to a new location and need our help renovating a space to suit their growing needs. They had started the process of expanding into a new space in the old building but do not have the means to start all over again without our help! Running a small business is HARD, not for those with the faint of heart! I know they will overcome their current struggles and with our HELP, they will be even more successful then before!
