Emma Watson Has a Brand-New Bob

Emma Watson just chopped her hair into a chin-length bob haircut, and we're basically in love with it. The sing-it-love-songs and buy-it-roses kind of love. Her publicist Luke Windsor tweeted out a picture of her new style the same day she stepped out for a Q&A session for the film The True Cost in London. The cut is roughly three inches shorter than how she's worn her hair in recent months (it's been long enough for her to wear in a top knot, as seen below), but the real change is in the shape—now the ends are choppy and there's a long piece in front. It's got a hint of edginess going on, which is an adjective we've come to expect from the star when it comes to her haircuts. She's been flirting with shorter cuts since the final Harry Potter film wrapped, and her dislike for her character Hermione's style might have something to do with it. She told Vogue Italia recently, "When I see the images again from the first Harry Potter, I immediately think how bad my hair was." We think she's being a little harsh on one of our favorite magical characters, but we have to

We think she's being a little harsh on one of our favorite magical characters, but we have to admit this new cut is an improvement over her long, frizzy mane in the movies. It's interesting, it's got movement, and it suits her bone structure—everything you could ever dream to ask of a haircut.
