Carrie-Anne Moss said she was in hysterics after coming across a video of someone asking why Hollywood had turned its back on her.

Carrie-Anne Moss, who reprises her role as Trinity in the latest Matrix instalment, Resurrections, recalled seeing the video as she explained why she decided to take a step back from her acting career.
In a new interview with GQ, the 54-year-old revealed that she took a break from Hollywood to focus on motherhood and raising her children.

"Somebody sent me one thing, a video someone had made," she told the publication.
'"What happened to Carrie-Anne Moss? Why did Hollywood turn their back on her?" Or something like that. I was like, funny! I had kids, and I wanted to be with them."
The Memento star shares three children with her husband of 22 years, Steven Roy: Owen, 18, Kaden, 16, and Frances, 12.
The family reside in a "cosy" renovated farmhouse in New Hampshire, where Carrie-Anne and her partner are also known to reach an intensive online course called householder in association with her firm Annapurna Living.

She further revealed that despite having fronted several significant roles outside of the Matrix franchise, it wasn't until the Canadian native was cast in Netflix's Jessica Jones in 2015 that her desire for acting returned.
"I had been in this world with small children all the time, and I felt unable to talk to all the grown-ups," she said.
Back in April, Carrie-Anne revealed how her movie role offers had drastically changed the day she entered her forties.
While moderating an event for New York's 92nd Street Y with Justine Bateman about her book Face: One Square Foot of Skin, she remembered being presented with a script for the role of a grandmother.
"I had heard that at 40 everything changed. I didn't believe in that because I don't believe in just jumping on a thought system that I don't really align with.
"But literally the day after my 40th birthday, I was reading a script that had come to me and I was talking to my manager about it. She was like, 'Oh, no, no, no, it's not that role [you're reading for], it's the grandmother.'"
Carrie-Anne Moss, who has helmed roles in films such as Chocolat, Disturbia, Red Planet and Brain On Fire, said she was taken aback by how she went from playing a young girl to contemplating whether she takes part "beyond the mother".
"I may be exaggerating a bit, but it happened overnight. I went from being a girl to the mother to beyond the mother."

She added: "You don't feel like you've aged much and suddenly you're seeing yourself onscreen.
"I would look at these French and European actresses and they just had something about them that felt so confident in their own skin.
"I couldn't wait to be that. I strive for that. It's not easy being in this business.
"There's a lot of external pressure."
Later this week, Carrie-Anne returns to the big screen with Matrix: Resurrections — the fourth instalment in the Lana Wachowski-directed franchise.
The trilogy flicks alone have generated over $1.7 billion at the box office and subsequently became some of the highest-earning movies of the 00s.
Keanu Reeves reprises his role, Neo, while Yahya Abdul Mateen II plays the younger version of Morpheus.
Laurence Fishburne, who fronted the role in the last three blockbusters, is evidently not returning.
Matrix: Resurrections enters cinemas on Wednesday.
