Chloe did an interview on the popular podcast "Call Her Daddy" and opened up about what it was like working in the porn industry. She started her career as a porn star only a week after she turned 18; her name was Chloe Couture.

Chloe Cherry Says She Suffered From an Eating Disorder

Working in the porn industry offers women different kinds of stresses and expectations than normal career paths don't. Chloe admitted she struggled with a severe eating disorder when she was a porn star.

"It all started when this agent that I had when I was in porn said to my face that I was fat,” she told Alexandra Cooper, the host of Call Her Daddy. "He said, ‘Everyone says that you’re fat and the fastest way to lose weight is by not eating.’ He said that to me and I was like, ‘What the fuck.’"

Not surprising, considering what a toxic industry pornography is and how women are objectified in order to provide explicit content for strangers behind a computer screen. That interaction "just turned into an eating disorder" because she was "so young at the time." Chloe said "it was so fucking freaky" because nobody had ever told her she was fat before (because she isn't). After that, "it just became an obsession."

Soon after Chloe reduced her daily sustenance to a measly 200 calories a day and went vegan. Of course she was unhappy. Finally in 2020 she gave up the vegan diet and started eating more intuitively.

"I was just miserable and not treating my body well, and now I don’t count a single calorie and literally just eat anything I want and do anything I want," she admitted. "My body actually looks better than it ever has my entire fucking life. I do not restrict my diet whatsoever."

Although Chloe talks about feeling "really good about myself" today, it's sad to think that so many women have not only subjected themselves to the exploitative industry of pornography, but allowed the creeps who manage this industry to abuse them to the point of developing an eating disorder.
