It really feels like Sheeva has been tormenting online players in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate for a few months now. While some have discovered counters to the "Dragon Drop spam" strategy, others are still struggling to do anything against the Shokan Queen.
TrueUnderDawgGaming has been searching for the easiest solutions to counter Sheeva's Dragon Drop (for the sake of others). Though he's received many recommendations over the past few weeks, finding a 100% consistent strategy has been difficult. However, the YouTube content creator is now confident that he's found the two characters that essentially hard counter Sheeva's Dragon Drop.
Ironically, one of the best characters at beating the unblockable stomp is Sheeva herself. As the second Sheeva user, you can always activate Dragon Drop after the opponent, then delay it until they appear back on screen.
Of course, I imagine that not everyone would be thrilled with the idea of jumping on the "Sheeva bandwagon." Still, most Sheeva users playing online that incorporate this strategy probably don't know how to use Sheeva beyond the Dragon Drop flowchart. There's also something really satisfying about giving these type of players a taste of their own medicine.
Alternatively, Jade can be used to run away from the unblockable attack by using her Pole Vault variation option. However, this by itself won't be enough to actually punish Sheeva on whiff.
To secure the punish, another variation slot needs to be dedicated to Jade's Blazing Nitro Kick. This will cost meter for every use, but it's an easy 90 damage to dissuade the opponent from attempting the Dragon Drop while you have meter.
