Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the sacking of manager Walter Zenga.
The news of Zenga's sacking was initially broken by a local Wolves correspondent.
And the club confirmed the news an hour later by releasing a statement on the club's official website.
Rob Edwards has been promoted from First Team Coach to interim manager for the duration of the search for a long-term successor to Zenga.
Wolves owners - Fosun Group - have sacked two managers in three months since taking charge at Molineux.
Marco Silva, Sam Allardyce, Nigel Pearson and Andre Villas-Boas are among the front-runners with the bookies to fill the vacant position.
Wolves' next game is away at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, with a home fixture against Derby also coming prior to the November international break.
