Greek Asclepius bust statue, the god of medicine and healing statue, is a handmade artifact of plaster sculpture with white patina, made traditionally with the method of casting plaster. The statue is mounted on a Greek marble base and is a replica of a museum piece.

In Greek mythology, Asclepius a.ka. Asklepios was considered a son of Apollo, and his mother was the mortal Koronis from Thessaly who has abandoned him. The motherless Asclepius was then brought up by his father who gave him the gift of healing and the secrets of medicine using plants and herbs.
