Inside Miley Cyrus’ Silent 27th Birthday With Cody Simpson

On Saturday, Miley Cyrus turned 27 years old. It's been a long time since the once-Hannah Montana was a precocious teen—or even since she was swinging around on a wrecking ball at 20 years old. She's all grown up now. She got married to her longtime boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth. That ended.

Now, she's with her new boyfriend, Australian singer Cody Simpson. Yesterday, Cyrus and Simpson celebrated Cyrus's birthday together, though it was a bit of a (literally) quiet party. This month, Cyrus had vocal cord surgery, which followed surgery she had for tonsillitis last month. Cyrus will now need to have weeks of vocal rest, so yesterday was a "silent birthday," according to Cyrus' Instagram story.

Simpson also fulfilled his boyfriend duties on social media by making his story Miley-themed on his girlfriend's special day.

The rest of Cyrus's crew seemed to be on hand to help the singer have a blast of a birthday (even if it couldn't be noisy). She posted a photo of her mother, Tish, giving her a little birthday haircut in the bathroom. Note: Only a select few people should be trusted to give at-home impromptu haircuts, and Miley's mom looks like she knows what she's doing.
