    Why did they stop making these!

    This is the sub I was looking for. It doesn't just produce bass at every sound. It makes a super low bass at the right times and is perfectly balanced. You can use it in every situation and it won't get annoying by being over productive. Again why did they stop making Mirage!

    Do not buy this unit used or for repair!

    These units are outdated based on the repair replacement parts available. Mirage is now owned by Klispch, and the replacement plate amp is more expensive than the entire subwoofer. After trying to repair the power supply board I found it impossible to find the schematic for this unit. This is a unit that has American middle man written all around it. The next time before you buy and audio electronics make sure you can reference a electronic schematical drawing of the circuit design. This unit is junk on the resell market. Peace!

    Great Sub! Delivers a crisp solid punch capable of shaking a room!

    I have this sub in an apartment, and it works great. Has enough volume for dance parties in my apartment, yet clear enough to listen to music at much lower volumes to feel the punch on the bass drum and bass notes. I've seen items raddle across my shelf if that gives you any idea of what this sub is capable of! It's the talk of the people around me because it puts everyone else's cheap PC speakers to shame. Mirage customer service is great. I had a piece broken on mine when I got it, I contacted Mirage, and they sent me a free piece as soon as I emailed them the receipt with no further questions. I work with professional speakers at large setups and I'm surprised by the clarity of this sub for its size. Yea, it's not a 16" sub in an array capable of shaking ...

    GREAT Little SUB!

    Great sound for both music and movies! Don't let the compact size fool you, this sub packs a GREAT punch for the price! Good for small to medium sized rooms. If your looking for a sub that is loud, distorts and shakes everything this isnt for you. If your looking for sub with tight bass,small size and great looks this is for you!Solid build!Very adjustable too!

    BUY IT!

    Hands-down, the best sub for the money for it's size. I've read all the reviews and done all the research; when I actually bought and listened, I was not disappointed. I will reiterate that it's not meant for very large rooms since it is only 8" driver; but in a normal to medium sized room, it will not disappoint and will impress with the right movie scene like explosions and thunder. I placed it out of sight, in the corner of the room, with the driver facing the corner.
