Freja Beha Erichsen 31, hails from the friendliest country in the world, Denmark. She grew up in the countryside just outside Copenhagen near a large forest that she explored in her childhood. It was a free for all as long she was home before dark. It was a perfect place to grow up and she remembers it fondly.

The great Dane was scouted in the street in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen when she was 15. Encouraged by her agency she went to Milan for castings. Carrying only her book on the train, she arrived in Milan completely lost and did not book one show. The following season, in 2005, her agency got a call from Prada/Miu Miu. Out of nowhere Freja was confirmed exclusively for looks and the Prada show in Milan. That was really her first experience into the fashion world. The cool tom boy who had never walked in high heels before, automatically ended up with what she refers to as a strange swagger and a head bob that she says she still has today.

Freja has many many memorable career moments. Her relationship with Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld is one of the special ones for her. She did four consecutive Chanel campaigns as well as Lagerfeld’s name sake line. Since her premiere in 2005, she has walked for every major fashion house, shot endless campaigns, and graced numerous covers . Dubbed as the "cool girl," Freja has worked and continues to work with the best in the business. The list of creatives is long. Collier Schorr, Juergen Teller, Inez and Vinoodh Matadin, Jamie Hawkesworth, Peter Lindbergh, Mario Sorrenti, Alastair McKimm, and Marie Amelie Sauve to name a few.

Freja just like when she was as a child loves exploring and the forest is now the world. She loves to walk around a town that she has never been to before, or explore a country she has not visited. Freja loves to get a sense of life and see the way people from around the world live. The biggest highlight for her is when her travels bring her home to catch up with her family and old friends.

In her free time, Freja loves to go to museums. She is a voracious reader and cannot travel without at least three books in tow. There is no such thing as packing light these days. She also has a passion for visiting writers and artists homes. She enjoys the idea of seeing the view that they most likely had while spending hours looking through their windows. Seeing it through their eyes, she can get a sense of how they lived. Architecture and design are also both things she loves. She recently bought and renovated a brownstone with 20th century Danish design furniture where she resides with her Weimaraner, Hopper.
