Kim Kardashian has stunned fans with a shorter hairstyle, causing several followers to remark that the star now looks unrecognisable.

The reality star and actor was announced as a muse for CR Fashion Book, with the publication sharing a photo of Kim with a new hairstyle on their Instagram account.

“Emerging from her reality TV origins, ascending to the heights of a business mogul, and pioneering groundbreaking prison reform efforts.”

“Kim Kardashian is the barrier-breaking muse of this generation redefining what it means to inspire,” read the caption, with several followers remarking that the star was barely recognisable with the new look.

“Unrecognizable in the best way! You see what none of us can!” wrote one fan in the comment section, while another responded: “This is not her! No way! Lol”

Kardashian recently made her acting debut in American Horror Story: Delicate, the 12th season of the anthology series. The plot follows an aspiring actor (Emma Roberts) who becomes convinced that someone – or something – is interfering with her pregnancy.

The first trailer for the season showcased the first glimpse of Kardashian as Siobhan Walsh, who eerily sings a lullaby to Roberts’ character.

The cast for the season also includes Cara Delevingne, Matt Czuchry and Annabelle Dexter-Jones, with series regulars Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman also appearing.

Zachary Quinto will also make a guest appearance in Delicate, and the actor recently revealed he was impressed by Kardashian’s performance, saying: “She was so lovely and warm and, really, I don’t think she needs my advice.

“She seemed really in her element, and I was really impressed by her spirit and her openness. I really look forward to seeing this season because I think she’s going to do a wonderful job.”

American Horror Story airs on FX in the US and Disney+ in the UK, where seasons 1-9 are also available to buy on Prime Video.
