I need what is part number for plastic strip (partially "wave" like molded, probably to be more "elastic") that holds (secures) fuel filter (gasoline engine, 1.4MPI) at the bottom of the fuel tank - in place.

When I tried to replace the fuel filter, and tried to release that plastic holder - plastic was so "lean" and cracked at the very same second sad.gif It looks like made from some very poor quality and thin plastic.
Anybody had similar experience?

Anyway, I would like to order this part trough my Dacia service, but I need part number (as they were pretending not to know what piece of plastic I am talking about).

I don't know part number, but i know that those strips are not supposed to be removed when changing fuel filter smile.gif
Proper action is to lift your car, then disconnect fuel hoses from filter (it should work on click principle) and then pull out filter towards center of the car.
After that same way insert new filter and reconnect fules hoses, and that's it smile.gif

Well, some people, like me, learn it hard way :-)

Anyway, quality of that plastic is really poor! and weather you remove it or not during change of filter - I think it should be checked from time to time if it is still there and if it is not malfunction. sad.gif

Just found out that this plastic strip/belt can not be purchased separatelly, but only in a set with all fuel hoses that connects to a fuel filter. sad.gif

I guess that one universal plastic strip fastener would do the trick... ;-)

If it's part number 4 on this diagram, then part number is 7703079285

No, it doesn't look like that. Is this diagram for 1.4 MPI petrol engine?
My fuel filter is close to the fuel tank (and in this diagram it doesn't appear so)?
