for the first 1000 km don't exceed 3000 rpm... And they say that only after 3000km you'll enjoy the full potential of your car... (I presumed that your car is LOGAN 1.4 mpi, as you described before).

All the best

Well on my experience here in Ecuador what Renault told me was not to go over 100km/h and not go higher then 3000 RPM for the first 3000 KM after that the engine will be fine to go higher. One thing to remenber, never go higher then 4000 RPM really take good care of you car.

While it is true that constantly keeping your car's engine on high rpm is not so good for the engine's life, the built-in limitation kicks in at 6000 rpm and prevents engine damage. I found myself very close to such situation when I accidentally changed from 4th gear in 3rd gear instead of 5th gear so the needle went ballistic and showed around 5800 rpms.
As fas as I have seen, you can achieve the consumption given by the factory in the 2500-3000 rpm interval, but the car has greater torque somewhere in the 3500-5000 rpm interval. Besides it's better to run the engine at some high rpms (eg: change gear when revs drop under 2000-1500 rpm, don't drive it in such low revs and high gear). I generally change gears up at around 3000-3500 rpm and down around 2000 rpm or less.

So, here are the first immpressions after few days driving and 150km on the counter.
Well it will be short because I am totally immpressed with the car.
This is not very objective because I am a driver that was driving a 15 years rusty old Yugo, so I feel like I am driving a Merz!
Maybe for someone who drove a better car this is not so big fuss but for me it is enourmus.
I have no complanits but one question about gear changing: When I want to go from Neutral to 1st gear there is a but of hardness in it, I mean it doesn't go so fot as other gears. Is it common on Logan?

Photo? Well, as I am kind of a experienced photographer I don't intend to put a usual photo, because you have all seen Logan. So I am waiting for nice weather to wash it and make an interesting one. So these days...

@ darkozi
After 2000 km or something, your first and 2nd gear will go very smoothly. Mine did so!
