Hi,

Another info from Venezuelan loganŽs, a letter from renault France to renault Venezuela to renault service centers.

They are including a change of oil gearbox at 20.000 kms service, using a more thick oil!!!, they accept that some of the powertrain noise comes from the gearbox. a logan from a friend of mine already received the new oil and the noise was reduced in a considerable way.

If you need to quieten your gearbox try MOLYSLIP OR STP
gearbox oil ADDITIVES

I suppose the engine oil/gearbox oil should be different according to the climate of the country where the car is sold

In winters, here the gearbox oil gets so thick that it's almost imposible to enter first or second gear smile.gif
Last winter I had to let it run for a while on neutral position so that I could enter first gear and start rolling on the road smile.gif
I guess over there it's the oposite.

Do you know what the changed oil range is?
From factory it should be tranself trj 75W80.
What kind of oil is the new one? Is something like 75W90?
