I have few serious scratches , ofcourse some idiots took KEY and scrathced it over whole right side of the car, on some places even deeper from white paint protection.

does anyone know where can I buy an EAGEAN BLUE color painting for logan? there is a small amount in a small bottle like for nail painting but i cannot find it here in Belgrade.

If someone from romania knows where it can be found in romania, please contact me on private message.

Thanks

I am just curious, what did they told you in Logan's service in Belgrade, why they can not sell the paint?

I know exactly how you feel. In my case, an idiot put something heavy and scratching onto the trunk of my car in a parking lot of a hypermarket, and unluckily enough, the area was not covered with security cameras...

But in Estonia, we have insurance called KASKO for cases like that.

You go to the insurance company, they take some photos of your car, then you go to the Renault/Dacia shop you bought the car from, then the insurance and Renault/Dacia people handle it together. You have to pay for just the so-called "self-responsibility" part of the bill.

in our service(dacia or reno) we find a device (like lipstyc for women) with all type of paint used to remove scratching. after you use this lipstyc on the car you polish the work . the price of this lipstyc is 10 euro.
if the scratch is deep, to the metal, the use of the lipstyc is no longer an option.

Kasko/casco in romanian- you should use this inssurance if the scratch is deep. if you dont have an asssurance you shoul got one (400 eur per year)

There is a Kasko insurance in Serbia too, of course, and I strongly recommend it for new vehicles, just for the cases like that. Some banks, in fact, most banks demand this kind of insurance when you buy the car on credit, and even if it is not requested it is wise to spend some extra bucks on it! The problem in this case is that the insurance agency will not accept liability for the damage made BEFORE you buy the insurance biggrin.gif

I'm surprised by the attitude of the authorized service though, as this kind of damage may render useless the 6-year warranty for the paint job... But then again, not too much unusual, for it is Serbia... sad.gif mad.gif

To the best of my knowledge, any manufacturer warants only against defects in material and/or workmanship, and not a single one against deliberate scratches and other kinds of damages, with or without your knowledge. If your hood starts to develop the rust holes as a result of the scratch, you can hardly aply for waranty! biggrin.gif

So, it is the owner's responsability to repair the damage, but the obligation to do that in an authorized service using proper parts, materials and procedures aprooved by the manufacturer, for the continuation of the waranty. As this may cost a lot (because if the manufacturer did not take your money for the price of the car, it will try to take it from you for the repairs biggrin.gif), it is important to be covered by the insurance!

As for the quality of the paint job, although I admit that it is much to early to judge that, the silver (or platinum gray actually) metalic on my new Logan seems worth 240 Euros in price difference... Hope I'll be able to say that in 5 years too smile.gif

Not much use in having the nice looking door, with rust holes on your hood... blink.gif radmasa.gif

But let's try concetrating on finding the repair kit for our fellow Logan owner... wink.gif Or making the authorized service to do a proper job!

And, while we are at it, try also findig me a repair kit for the rear window striped heater, so I wouldn't have to apply for my waranty to change the whole window glass (I kinda have a bad feeling about that operation... wink.gif )

Bird droppings are chemically very aggressive and can damage paint on every car, not just a Romanian built car. Sea gull's droppings eat holes in paint of my brother's Volvo's roof (he was lazy enough not to stop right when it happened, and later was too late).

BTW, are you sure the job quality in Romania is so bad, or has the whining about quality more to do with our (East European) complexes? Actually I think East Europeans don't differ from other human beings. See what Czechs are doing - Skodas are built better than VWs!

Ain't that wonderful?

No, there is a small break in one of the stripes.
There are such repair kits, with conducting paste, as Stu found out, but all the web links point to USA, I didn't find anything like it mentioned in Europe.

I'm Spanish and and I do agree with you. Quality has nothing to do with coming from East or West but with the policy of each individual carmaker

If you want to repair scratches, go to first paint shop and buy the minimal amount of color you need. Repair those damages and you will have color for scratches and for further damages.
Every modern paint shop can mix/prepare color for your Logan.

Just to remind you that, repaired place will be a little different from original one. This is because you will use small brush or something else (it is different to paint with brush and sprayer, and this contrast must be) . This is my experience, I (pain shop) have painted my whole back bumper and I use the rest of color to fix similar damages.

And as you described this damage, only paint shop can help you. Because what ever you'll use, it remains visible.

He said that it is made by key or something and that it is deep on some places, and of course whole side. And damage like that is no way to repair by your self. I mean he can, but it will remain visible... very visible
