Se pare ca maine chrysler va intra in faliment, la capitolul 11, incercand sa se reorganizeze, pentru alianta cu fiat. Treaba tare in aceasta afacere este insa faptul ca la chrysler cei mai mari detinatori de actiuni sunt statul american si sindicatul muncitorilor.. Ca intrebare aditionala, ati cumpara o masina de la un producator aflat in faliment?

Bloomberg's source made it clear that the there are still several loose ends and the plan "is not finished yet," but it will likely involve Chrysler's strongest assets being bundled and sold to a new entity. In that scenario, Fiat would become a 20% owner of the Auburn Hills-based automaker, the UAW retiree health-care trust would take a 55% percent stake and the government would gobble up the rest. Essentially, it's the same out-of-court deal initially proposed, but now, with all the benefits (and hurdles) of bankruptcy protection.

No surprise then that Fiat's CEO, Sergio Marchionne, was right in his assessment (see below), nor is it a shocker to anyone that's been following Chrysler's trials and tribulations over the last week and beyond.

Keeping an upbeat tone in his announcement, Obama also reassured Americans that they will be repaid in full before Fiat gets any stake in the automaker, and that GMAC has agreed to step in to provide loans for Chrysler vehicles. Canada is also pitching in to make it work, but the U.S. taxpayers will be on the hook for an additional $8 billion in aid. Obama also reiterated that the government will stand behind Chrysler and General Motors vehicle warranties, and he extolled Americans to purchase new vehicles from domestic automakers.

Finally, in related news, it is being reported that Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli (whom Obama praised during the press conference) will exit the company after the bankruptcy filing is complete.

*UPDATE: A new Chrysler press release (posted after the jump) confirms that Nardelli will leave Chrysler after it emerges from bankruptcy:

He will return to Cerberus Capital Management LP as an advisor. "Now is an appropriate time to let others take the lead in the transformation of Chrysler with Fiat," said Nardelli. "I will work closely with all of our stakeholders to see that this new company swiftly emerges with a successful closing of the alliance."

Eu cred ca trebuie sa se adapteze si ei cat de cat cu criza. Pai Chrysler da faliment ca masinile mari nu mai sunt cautate. Japonezii au penetrat piata americana la greu. Produc multe masini in interiorul S.U.A. Si de ce? Ca au venit cu masini ieftine si fiabile. Iar americanul este patriot pana vine vorba de bani. Decat sa dea 30000$ pe un GM mai bine da vreo 16-25000 pe o masina japoneza.

Sa ne reamintim ca in anii '80 si Renault a trecut prin ceva asemanator, find preluata de stat. Ei bine acum este bine merci. Apropo, cei de la Fiat cumpara Chrysler si am inteles ca vor si participatiuni de 20% la Opel.
Daca fac miscarea aceasta, Fiat devine un producator cu un cuvand greu de spus pe piata mondiala.

Jonglerii puternice pe piatza auto mondiala. Pana la urma se vor scoate ele firmele mari de masini, se vor vinde, vor primi ajutor de la statele americane sau europene si vor iesi din criza cu un mare castig. Se vor regrupa si vor fi vreo 5 mari concerne in lume care vor incheia un acord de neconcurentza si apoi sa vezi preturi la masini. Preturi mari, alegeri mici!

Eu nu stiu.dupa mine Chrysler,mari,proaste,si consuma de rup!!!Americanii isi bat capul cu poluarea...cine a facut motoare standard numa de 5000 benzina?Si cat despre japonezi,sa fim seriosi,fac masini foarte bune,Mitsubishi,Honda...In motociclete Kawasaki.Atata e la ei prostia ca se axeaza pe electronica,nu si confort...In rest,merg foarte bine,consum mic,putere mare (cai)...Nu stiu ce ziceti voi,dar alianta Fiat - Chrysler,mi se pare o idee super.Fiatul cu motoarele lor rezistente,si tehnologia Chrysler,la confort si rezistenta caroserie...BMW sau Mercedes-Benz nici nu va mai fi recunoscut.Go Go Go Fiat!! smile.gif Poate scot si astia ceva modele tzapene la salar de Romania laugh.gif

Altul este scopul acestei aliante. Daca ai mai citi un pic ai afla. Chrysler va avea acces la tehnologiile Fiat, iar fiat va avea acces la reteaua Chrysler. Simplu ...

Daca aliantele acestea ar duce la lucruri bune si imbunatatirea vietii este ok. Dar cand se aliaza, sigur au nevoie de acordul comisiilor de monopol si concurentza din SUA si CE. Pentru ca multe aliante sunt facute sa o duca cat mai bine producatorul si nu consumatorul. Consumatorul va trai mai bine daca exista mai multa concurenta pe piata si mai multe masini de la firme concurente. Daca raman spre ex 3 firme mari, incheie un pact anticoncurential si se ajunge la preturi mari per masina.

Aici discutam si de masinile noi nu numai de cele SH, ca fabricile astora GM, Chrysler nu produc direct SH-uri de 2500 euro bucata. O masina noua scumpa se va vinde si SH tot destul de scump. Si apoi desfiinteaza astia ai nostri taxa de prima inmatriculare si baga taxa de poluare. Atunci este mai nasol de ai o masina SH si mai ales daca este veche.

GMAC a primit 7,5 miliarde dolari pentru acordarea de imprumuturi pentru Chrysler

Restul de 3,5 miliarde dolari vor ajuta la acoperirea deficitului de capital rezultat in urma testelor de stres la care GMAC, impreuna cu alte 18 mari institutii bancare din Statele Unite, a fost supus.

Dupa ce-a de-a doua injectie de capital, investitia guvernului in GMAC se ridica la 13,5 miliarde dolari. Chrysler a inaintat cerere pentru intrarea in faliment pe 30 aprilie, iar GM este probabil sa aiba aceeasi soarta pe 1 iunie.

"Pentru stabilizarea GM si Chrysler, guvernul trebuie mai intai sa salveze GMAC si furnizorii. Nu au alta optiune si ar putea fi nevoie de alte actiuni suplimentare in acest sens", a declarat un analist.

Contractul cu guvernul, anuntat in urma cu trei saptamani, include un acord pe patru ani pentru ca GMAC sa devina principalul finantator al Chrysler si sa ofere imprumuturi clientilor care au lucrat cu Chrysler Financial.

Testele de stres ale guvernului american au determinat ca GMAC are nevoie sa-si majoreze capitalul cu 11,5 miliarde dolari, pentru a face fata unor conditii si mai severe din punct de vedere economic.
