Kim Kardashian was the talk of the 2022 Met Gala on Monday night after the rumours of her wearing an iconic Marilyn Monroe dress turned out to be true.
While we'll leave it to our fashion team to go into the details of that dress, we're here to discuss her freshly bleached hairstyle.
Now, while rumours of Kim paying homage to Marilyn had been circulating, she clearly wanted to keep one element of surprise for us.
Arriving on the red carpet with boyfriend Pete Davidson, Kim was unrecognisable at first glance with her dark hair bleached peroxide blonde and slicked back into a ballerina-esque bun.
Of course, Kim's longterm hairstylist Chris Appleton was behind the look (he was also responsible for Khloe's hair last night) and the brief was clear as he shared a picture of Kim captioning it "Met Ball 2022 Modern Marilyn".
Her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic got to make up for that Balenciaga face covering last year and created an iconic Kim x Mario look.
In keeping with her hair, Kim's eyebrows were lightened which Mario paired with a soft blown out smokey eye and classic nude lip.
Timeless and modern, this kind of brief checking is something we wish we'd see from The Apprentice contestants.
We don't know how Chris does it every time but that is the sleekest bun we have ever laid our eyes on.
Let's just hope he carries some paracetamol in his kit along with his hairspray.
