We were glad our hotel was at the end of the boulevard from Golden Sands, so it was nice and calm, no noise from partying people and loud bars or cafe's Glad I didn't book a hotel in the middle of the hustle and bustle because that would have cost us a lot of sleep.... We didn't go out for a drink of dinner because our hotel provided us with this. Pretty standard East European seaside resort. Beach filled with cigarette butts, with dirty umbrellas and beach furniture. A lot of shops eith overpriced items, and restauranta with mostly overpriced foods. Some kids attractions that might be interesting for them for a few days.

Really enjoyed the park hotel Odessos. Food was delicious and a variety each day. The only fault was the kids play ground. Only had two things in it. . Could benefit from a swing and or additional piece of play equipment.

If you expect a quality experience, either look for a 5 stars hotel or go further south. Golden Sands is overcrowded. It fits low-budget travelers and people who don't care about quality services. There is only a handful of high-end hotels and these are very expensive.

As long as i can find a lot of improvements in the restaurants, quality of food and service, some places, i.e. bars the staff is very arrogant, they keep trying to make money for the whole season in a day without moving a finger, etc. Surely a modern resort that wants to grow cannot charge people for basic needs, i.e. WC, and on top of having different prices for foreigners or Bulgarians. Those are cheap tricks that push people away so Bulgarian tourism will keep suffering until those very basics are not fixed.

Holiday in Bulgaria/ Golden Sands 😔 At first sight was looking good ! Next day I have started to see reality: room wasn’t clean , toilet paper ..you have to ask from the cleaning person ( and she didn’t understand English) , food wasn’t too much diversity….only 3 courses was really good ! For all inclusive 4 stars it was disappointing…. even towels for pool , you have to guarantee with money ! If it was like 2 stars hotel ,actually! It was an experience….the last one in this part of tourism !

We used the fully equipped communal kitchen to make a meal and then had a dinner on the terrace. One minute walk to the beach. Conveniently located on public transportation bus line (calling a cab is even a better idea). The location is perfect for trips to Varna and other resorts along the coastline. We will definitely book this hotel again if we go back to Golden Sands, Bulgaria.

Suggested some excellent restaurants, we recommend the Seaman restaurant in particular for tasty Bulgarian food and there are some really tasty gyros style kebabs. Bravo restaurant at the bottom of the hill also had nice salads and kebabche and very friendly staff. The whole hotel is very warm, the pool heated just right, the water in the pool warm. All staff English speaking, very responsive. Parking spaces at discretion, without payment. I wish to come back.
