Gaudi’s Lamp Posts in Placa Reial Barcelona

The two street lights in Placa Reial on both sides of the fountain were designed by Antoni Gaudi in 1879. The lamp post has a stone base with a cast iron column, six arms and gas lamps on each arm. You will also see red floral patterns above the lamp posts. Gaudi then placed the Barcelona coat of arms in the centre of each column.
