I had some issues using DHCP (had a reservation), as soon as you clicked save it just spun and the GUI was inaccessible so I couldn't save the config. I also use a different address scheme than the one used by default on the switch. I ended up going with static assignment which is fine and pretty standard practice. This isn't an L3 switch either, only features in that category are DHCP related (relay, etc.)
As for setting up the trunk and VLAN's, that was a pain to figure out (I'm a Cisco engineer with certs but that didn't really help here.) To save you some trouble, create the VLAN's you want to use that have the same PVID as the VLANs on the device you're trunking with and make sure you mark all VLANs as tagged on the trunk port. Make all other interfaces untagged and then on the port configs add the VLAN PVID you want to use for those ports. You don't need to do anything else and then you'll have segmented traffic working as intended.
NTP wasn't working at first either. I could manually set the time as well as PC sync but on reboot the time would be wrong again. When I added US NTP IPs (FQDNs aren't allowed) it would fail to sync. I ended up changing the primary IP to my local router (Meraki MX) and it sync'd. I changed it back to a public IP and it appears to be syncing fine. Not sure what the issue is there but fortunately the time is working properly. This isn't a huge deal honestly, but if you need to dig through logs for any reason it's nice having the time correct.
You get what you pay for here honestly, it's not a super expensive device so it's not really what I would call Enterprise class. It has a lot of other features and functionality though somewhat limiting but for a switch that's GB, supports IPv6 and LAN segregation it gets the job done.
