The Watch

In 1960 the DeVille line saw the day of light. The DeVille line was made with a distinct difference in the case construction to the other Seamaster models at the time. The DeVille was a monoouque model with solid back case as a contrast to
the screwed on back case on the other Seamasters.

Not until 1963 the "Seamaster DeVille” name appeared on watch dials and made the DeVille models even more official. One of the minds behind this step was Omegas general agent in the U.S Norman Morris who liked the Seamaster DeVilles combined features and had adopted the model as a sales leader. But the combination of “Seamaster DeVille” on the dial was not long lived, as early as 1967 the dial only had “DeVille” written. Because of the fact that “Seamaster DeVille” models only was produced between 1963-1967 the models are very sought after by traders and connoisseurs.
