BMW 801 Aircraft Engine
One of the popular engines from BMW during the World War 2 era. It was a powerful 41.8 liter 14 cylinder radial aircraft engine that made about 1970 hp of power and was one of the most produced engines in Germany during the World War 2. It also looks quite cool in the way it's designed and how all the parts fit together.
The 801 engine was built as there was a major requirement at the time for high performance designs. It was ultimately used in the WW2 as the engine to the famous fighter plance Focke-Wulf Fw 190. Over 28000 engines were built and it even had a supercharger to generate the kind of numbers that it did! Overall great innovation from BMW back in the day!
