'Old School' Cast: Where Are They Now?

Luke Wilson as Mitch "The Godfather" Martin

Luke Wilson played Mitch Martin, a heartbroken lawyer who finds a fresh start as the unexpected "godfather" of the Lambda Epsilon Omega fraternity.

In the years following Old School (2003), Wilson (the youngest brother to actors Owen Wilson and Andrew Wilson) kept the laughs coming with a cameo in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) and lead roles in The Family Stone (2005) and Idiocracy (2006). He showed his range in more dramatic films like Vacancy (2007) and The Goldfinch (2019). The actor's TV appearances included a stint on That 70's Show as Michael Kelso's older brother, Casey, and a brief run on HBO's Enlightened. From 2020 to 2022, Wilson figured into the DC Universe on Stargirl as Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E., a skilled mechanic, former sidekick and, later, a superhero.

Wilson stars in the 2023 biographical crime drama Miranda's Victim alongside Abigail Breslin, Andy Garcia and Donald Sutherland.

Will Ferrell as Frank "The Tank" Ricard

The funnyman brought the iconic Frank "The Tank" to life as he streaks in the quad and has "a pretty nice little Saturday" while trying to find himself and repair his marriage.

Will Ferrell rolled right on into Frat Pack films like Anchorman, Wedding Crashers (2005), Blades of Glory (2007), Step Brothers (2008) and, later, The Campaign (2012), Get Hard (2015) and Spirited (2022). Ferrell even brought his SNL-born President George W. Bush impression to Broadway in his 2009 Tony Award-nominated play You're Welcome America.

Off-screen, Ferrell founded Funny or Die, an online comedy streaming platform, with former collaborator Adam McKay in 2007. In 2019, he started The Ron Burgundy Podcast with the iHeart Podcast Network.

Ferrell will appear in Greta Gerwig's highly anticipated Barbie (2023) as the CEO of Mattel.

In 2000, he married Swedish actress Viveca Paulin, with whom he shares three sons: Magnus, Mattias and Axel.

Vince Vaughn as Bernard "Beanie" Campbell

Vince Vaughn was Bernard Campbell, who pushes Mitch to launch the fraternity and re-live his glory days, all while being married with young kids.

The actor went on to join his Old School costars for a news team fight in Anchorman and starred in Dodgeball (2004), Fred Claus (2007) and The Dilemma (2011). Concurrently, he made a foray into the rom-com realm with The Break-Up (2006) — costarring then-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston — and Four Christmases (2008), alongside Reese Witherspoon. On TV, Vaughn demonstrated his dramatic chops on season 2 of True Detective before returning to comedy and lending his voice to the Netflix animated series F is For Family. He has held a recurring role on Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm as Freddy Funkhouser since 2020.

Vaughn is equally active behind the scenes. In 2013, he co-wrote and starred in The Internship (2013), opposite Wedding Crashers costar Owen Wilson. In 2022, he launched a podcast network, Audiorama, with former NFL players Greg Olson and Ryan Kalil.

In 2010, he married Canadian realtor Kyla Weber, with whom he shares a daughter and a son: Lochlyn Kyla and Vernon Lindsay.

Ellen Pompeo as Nicole

Ellen Pompeo played Nicole, Mitch's high school crush caught in a relationship with cheating boyfriend Mark. Eventually, she sees the light of day and gets together with Mitch — despite being turned off by his frat boy behavior. Today, Pompeo is best known for anchoring the team at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as Grey's Anatomy's Dr. Meredith Grey since 2005. In 2023, during her 19th season on the medical drama, Pompeo stepped down as the show's lead, taking a reduced role moving forward to spend time with her kids and work on other projects.

After Old School, Pompeo has mostly kept off the big screen, appearing in only a handful of films through 2005. When she isn't playing Dr. Grey, Pompeo is focused on production. In 2011, she launched a production company, Calamity Jane, and co-executive produced the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Station 19. In 2021, it was announced that Pompeo is set to executive produce a TV adaptation of author Elin Hilderbrand's Paradise trilogy with ABC.

Pompeo married music producer Chris Ivery in 2007, with whom she shares three children: Stella Luna, Sienna May and Eli Christopher.

Craig Kilborn as Mark

Craig Kilborn stepped into the role of Mark, Nicole's no-good, cheater boyfriend, out to get Mitch. Better known as a TV host (The Daily Show, anyone?) than an actor, Kilborn was in the midst of hosting The Late Late Show when Old School premiered. He went on to make appearances in movies like The Shaggy Dog (2006) and The Bronze (2015) and on TV with cameos on Chuck, BoJack Horseman and Workaholics.

Kilborn has otherwise kept a low profile both on- and off-screen. He has three children and is married to Erin O'Brien.

Leah Remini as Lara Campbell

Leah Remini shined as Bernard's bold wife, Lara, who stands up to Frank on behalf of her friends. Since then, the actress has stayed in the spotlight.

Remini notably starred as Carrie Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens, opposite Kevin James, from 1998 to 2007. In 2010, she starred on the short-lived ABC sitcom Family Tools before becoming a familiar face on the Dancing with the Stars franchise in 2013 as a contestant, guest co-host and guest judge. Remini makes regular cameos on a wide range of reality TV shows, even clinching her own series, Leah Remini: It's All Relative. In 2021 she became the host of Game Show Network's PEOPLE Puzzler.

The actress and activist is an outspoken critic of her former religion, Scientology. In 2015, she published a memoir, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, and in 2016, she made waves with her Emmy-winning documentary series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.

Remini married actor Angelo Pagán in 2003, and they share a daughter and three sons: Sofia Bella, Nicholas, Alex and Angelo Jr.

Jeremy Piven as Gordon "Cheese" Pritchard

Jeremy Piven played it straight as Gordon Pritchard, who was picked on by Mitch, Frank and Bernard growing up. As dean of Harrison University, he's hellbent on putting an end to Lambda Epsilon Omega.

Piven earned a handful of Golden Globes and Emmys for his work as agent Ari Gold on Entourage, which he followed up with the titular role on Mr. Selfridge. He has appeared in films like Scary Movie 3 (2003), Cars (2006), Edge of Tomorrow (2014) and Last Call (2021) and is brother-in-law to Adam McKay.

In 2017 and 2018, several women came forward to accuse the actor of sexual misconduct, allegations he vehemently denied.

Perrey Reeves as Marissa Jones

Perrey Reeves played Frank's beleaguered, brand-new bride, who watches him spin out of control as he gets more involved with the fraternity. Reeves went on to act in several seasons of Entourage as Piven's on-screen wife, Melissa Gold.

After Entourage, she moved on to the TV series Covert Affairs and Famous in Love. Reeves also made appearances in films like Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), Kicking and Screaming (2005) and Plus One (2019). She reprised her Entourage role in its 2015 film adaptation.

Reeves has since moved to Costa Rica where she runs a yoga retreat — The Sanctuary at Two Rivers. The actress married tennis coach Aaron Fox in 2015, and the couple welcomed a daughter, Phoenix Delphine, in 2017.
