Michelle Monaghan’s husband has her back.
Peter White was nothing but “proud” of the actress when she skipped their honeymoon plans in order to film “Mission: Impossible III” — even though her first scene required getting “intimate” with Tom Cruise.
After locking lips with her “nice” co-star, Monaghan, 47, dished excitedly to White about the “amazing” moment.
“He goes, ‘How cool is it that you were making out with Tom Cruise on our honeymoon?’” she recalled in a recent Collider interview. “Because we’re just such fans.”
The “True Detective” alum praised her “sweet” partner for being “so proud” at the time, calling his reaction a “testament to the man that [she] married.”
Monaghan gushed, “[He] has just been totally supportive and is excited and jazzed for the opportunities. … I worked hard to get that role, and it was just one of those things.
“We just got married and really discovered our careers in New York together, and so that was really special,” she continued.
The “Made of Honor” star and White have since welcomed two children — daughter Willow, 14, and son Tommy, 9.
Cruise, for his part, was dating Katie Holmes while shooting the movie.
The duo went on to wed the following year and welcomed daughter Suri, now 17, before calling it quits in 2012.
The “Top Gun” star, 61, is estranged from the teenager, who looked the spitting image of Holmes while celebrating the “Dawson’s Creek” alum’s 45th birthday on Monday.
Suri is following in both of her parents’ footsteps, starring in her high school’s “Addams Family” play.
Since splitting from Holmes, Cruise has kept his love life out of the spotlight — but is now reportedly dating a Russian socialite named Elsina Khayrova.
The 36-year-old’s ex-husband, Dmitry Tsetkov, issued a warning to Cruise last week about keeping his “eyes and wallet wide open” while romancing her.
