FASHION CREDITS: LADY GAGA FOR VOGUE US SEPTEMBER 2012 ISSUE BY MERT & MARCUS

Lady Gaga graced the cover Vogue US September 2012 issue – the most coveted issue and the largest Vogue ever. For her second Vogue cover, Gaga was captured by photographer duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott and styled by Grace Coddington

Her hair was done by Luigi Murenu and makeup by Lucia Pieroni, respectively.

She was photographed in homage to the very first cover of Vogue, “A Debutante” from 1892. On the cover, our girl wears a fuchsia patchwork silk mermaid gown, custom made by Marc Jacobs

This fierceness is an extension of the designer’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection.

On the second photo, Gaga wears nothing but a custom oversized fur & ostrich feather hat by Stephen Jones and a few drops of her own “FAME” fragrance.

This impeccably made black frayed silk ruffle cape jacket was part of the finale look from Alexander McQueen’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection.

She paired it with custom-made Pleaser black velvet platform boots.

After the show, Stephen Jones told Vogue UK: “Marc had this idea about the face being surrounded by volume and about beauty. We researched Edwardian shapes and Veronica Lake shapes”.

Last but definitely not least, Gaga poses in Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2012 black knitted wrap scarf top with oversized safety pin…
