Healthy food Why is it important?

T

here are many benefits of having a healthy diet, such as reducing the risk of heart disease, stroke, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. A person may also boost their mood and gain more energy by maintaining a balanced diet.

''A healthy diet helps to protect against malnutrition in all its forms, as well as noncommunicable diseases.'' Each biological stage has specific requirements that must be taken into account for a healthy and balanced diet. It's always better to ask your dietitian. Diet is one of the most powerful tools we have when it comes to preventing diseases. In this way, we provide our organism with all the necessary nutrients so that it can perform all our biological functions properly. In addition, we reduce the risk of suffering pathologies in the short, medium and long term that are related to inadequate nutrition: hypertension, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and even certain types of cancer, etc.

Statistics

In Ecuador, 3.8 million people, or 21.4% of the population, could not access a healthy diet in 2020. The reasons are of various kinds. One of the main causes for people to eat poorly is because they don't have money to buy healthy food.

Inflamation

What does it have to do with diet? What is inflamation? Inflammation is part of your body's natural defense against things that adversely affect health, like bacteria, viruses and toxins. But our immune system is complicated, and its components are sometimes triggered by unexpected things — including certain foods.

Why´s it important to have an anti-flamatory diet? It´s clear that there´s a conection between diet and inflamation, so it´s fundamental to have an anti-flamatory diet since it is beneficial not only for reducing the risk of chronic diseases, but also for improving mood and overall quality of life.

Is inflammation helpful or harmful? It turns out inflammation is both good and bad. On the one hand, it helps the body to repair tissue damage and fight infections. Yet there is another side of inflammation that can be harmful rather than helpful to human health. Evidence suggests that low-grade, chronic inflammation contributes to some disease, including cardiovascular disease.

09.

Anti-flamatory food An anti-inflammatory diet should include these foods: tomatoes olive oil green leafy vegetables nuts fatty fish fruits To reduce levels of inflammation, aim for an overall healthy diet. If you're looking for an eating plan that closely follows the tenets of antiinflammatory eating, consider the Mediterranean diet, which is high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, fish, and healthy oils. In addition to lowering inflammation, a more natural, less processed diet can have noticeable effects on your physical and emotional health.

10.

Flamatory food Try to avoid or limit these foods as much as possible: Refined carbohydrates French fries Soda red meat margarine

Not surprisingly, the same foods on an inflammation diet are generally considered bad for our health, including sodas and refined carbohydrates, as well as red meat and processed meats. Unhealthy foods also contribute to weight gain, which is itself a risk factor for inflammation. Yet in several studies, even after researchers took obesity into account, the link between foods and inflammation remained, which suggests weight gain isn't the sole driver.
