The Chanel slingback heel is iconic. While these weren't my first pair of designer shoes, I think it's safe to say they are my favorite and most worn. Spoiler alert, buy these shoe! I originally bought them back in 2017 and couldn't be happier with the purchase. I wear them with anything and everything. Jeans and a basic top might be my favorite styling way, but if you search Chanel Slingbacks on my blog you'll find lots of outfit inspiration. Because they’re such a serious investment piece, I wanted to share my thoughts on them with you guys in case buying yourself a pair is on your wishlist!

Current Price of Chanel Slingbacks
The first thing to note about Chanel items is that they’re famous for increasing in price over time. Whether it’s handbags, clothing, or shoes, Chanel treats their product like a fine wine that only gets better with time. I got my pair of Chanel slingback heels from Nordstrom in 2017 for $800. They’re now selling for $875. Like I mentioned, these heels are definitely a serious investment piece for your wardrobe, so you need to be sure you’ll get your wear out of them (but I have a feeling you will). Personally, I wear them with everything.
Comfort and Sizing of Chanel Slingbacks
These heels are comfortable, for sure, but they definitely require a few good wears to initially break them in. The heel is barely over 2.5 inches, which gives you a nice bump in height without being over-the-top or unstable. Plus, a moderate heel lends itself to pairing easily with casual looks but being able to pivot into a more dressy look! In fact, I would say one of my favorite go-to looks that never gets old is a great pair of jeans and a white t-shirt with the Chanel slingbacks. If you’re looking for an even lower heel, though, these slingbacks come in a much flatter form with a heel that’s less than 1 inch (0.8 inches to be exact)!
The Chanel Slingbacks fit true to size for me. I'm and 8.5 and wear size 38.5. I will say if you have the option to try on more than one pair in the same size, to do so. Each pair is made slightly different and one may fit better than the other.
Where to Buy Chanel Slingbacks
As I mentioned, I bought my pair of Chanel slingback heels at Nordstrom a few years ago, but they’re also sold by Chanel itself (of course), Neiman Marcus, and Saks. There are also some luxury resale shops like Fashionphile or Vestiaire Collective, but honestly, I would get them new, you won't regret it!
These iconic heels are always on trend and hold up incredibly well. I recommend splurging on them if it’s something you’ve wanted to do for a while and can comfortably afford to, because I promise you’ll get your wear out of them a lot quicker than you think. But I am sharing some designer inspired pairs at the end of this post, just in case you're not quite ready to invest in the Chanel slingbacks.
