Iron Fist just lawyered up. Marvel has announced that Carrie-Anne Moss will appear in the upcoming Netflix series, reprising her role as the shrewd attorney Jeri Hogarth.

Moss’ character was first introduced in Jessica Jones as an associate of Krysten Ritter’s titular private investigator; she also appeared in the season 2 finale of Daredevil.

On Iron Fist, Hogarth will aid protagonist Danny Rand, a.k.a. Iron Fist (Finn Jones), a New Yorker who returns to his hometown and begins fighting crime after learning an ancient form of mystical martial arts. A teaser image released by Marvel suggests that Hogarth will help Rand dig up dirt on the Meachum family, whose patriarch (David Wenham) was a business partner of Rand’s parents at the time of their deaths.

“Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street-level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into Marvel’s Iron Fist,” said executive producer and head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb in the announcement. “As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand, so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.”

Iron Fist represents Marvel’s fourth Netflix series set against a gritty New York backdrop, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and the upcoming Luke Cage. The four lead characters are also scheduled to join forces in a miniseries titled The Defenders.
