Jessica Paré is pregnant!
It's been almost nine months since Jessica Paré admitted she wanted kids and now she's pregnant -- talk about mad timing!
The "Mad Men" star is expecting her first child with musician boyfriend John Kastner, whom she has been dating since April 2012. (The actress was previously married to producer Joe Smith for three years until they split in 2010.)
The couple seems to have known the news for a while now. One month ago, Kastner posted an Instagram image of the duo hugging with his daughter, Summer Lee (from his marriage to Canadian actress Nicole DeBoer), wearing a T-shirt with the phrase "I'm going to be a big sister" on it.
Appearing on the cover of Canada's Fashion magazine in March, Paré revealed that she was looking to start a family with Kastner.
"I do want kids. I am dating John Kastner—who is also from Montreal. We’ve been together for 4 years so we have discussions," she said. "There’s something about meeting someone from your hometown… you have a lot in common with them. Montreal is a special place in the world to be from—there is nowhere like it so we understand each other."
Luckily, she will have a lot of time for the baby soon. "Mad Men" started airing the first half of its seventh and final season in April. The last episodes, set to air next year, reportedly began filming in March. However, Paré did seem a little ambivalent about the show shuttering when she spoke to ELLE in March.
"Having done this show, having worked with these people, having said these amazing words that I get a chance to say every day, my life is never going to be the same," she said. "That said, I’m still terrified! It’s a big world and there’s a lot of amazing things going on in television now, partially because of Matt and 'Mad Men.' So hopefully I’ll land on my feet."
If not her own, she will have the pitter patter of little feet to distract her.
